Life Without Borders

In August 2020, Alex McKell collaborated with the Croix Rouge in Luxembourg on the Life Without Borders mural project. Set within a refugee camp in Mersch, this initiative aimed to create a vibrant and inclusive environment for the residents. The mural featured a world map rendered without traditional political borders, using warm hues to represent different regions. This artistic approach symbolized unity and the concept of a shared global identity, transcending national boundaries.

The project encouraged resident participation, fostering a sense of pride and belonging. The mural became a focal point for conversation, engagement, and community building, embodying Alex’s belief in art as a powerful tool for social cohesion
